Pokhara Bird Society

A one–day photo exhibition program of important birds found in Nepal has been completed at the Janapriya Multiple Campus located in ward no. 8 of Pokhara Metropolitan City.

Acting Campus chief Krishna Babu Baral inaugurated the exhibition joinly organized by the Department of Bachelor in Mountain Tourism Management  (BMTM) and Pokhara Bird Society while the closing ceremony was chair by Tara Giri, chairperson of the campus management committee.

The program was facilitated by Associate Professors Dipendra Pahari and Bishnu Timilsina while president of Pokhara Bird Society Manshanta Ghimire, gave a brief overview of photographs of exhibition.

According to the organizers, the program was organized to raise awareness about the conservation of birds, their habitats, biodiversity and  Inter relation between mountaineering and bird tourism. More than 3 thousand people observed the exhibition.

The exhibition featured 53 photographs of 14 photographers including critical endangered, endangered, vulnerable birds, habitats, biodiversity, wetlands.

Students from institute of forestry-Pokhara campus, department of zoology-Prithiwi narayan campus and BTMT were the full time volunteers during exhibition.
